How to Contribute to Our Vision
As a Grid Engineering Manager, you will be the main technical interface between the customer and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in relation to Grid topics for offshore projects during the sales and execution phases.
- Grid requirements analysis: you'll use your knowledge to evaluate Siemens Gamesa technical compliance to requirements framed in the Grid area.
- In the sales phase you will perform a Technical Sales function which will include discussing technical requirements directly with the customer and Transmission Authorities.
- In the execution phase you will perform a Project Management function, you’ll be responsible to know and provide contract requirements which include technical documentation, digital models and specialized technical support within the Grid Area.
- Provide support to Park Control specialists.
- Highly specialized technical discussions with Siemens Gamesa Technology and Product Portfolio Management departments, helping to identify solutions for current needs and future developments on Siemens Gamesa products.
- Revision and performing of studies including the following domains: Steady State, Dynamics and Transient.
What You Need to Make a Difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…
- Master’s degree in electrical power engineering preferably combined with experience from the wind turbine business and/or grid developer/grid operator industries. A bachelor's degree with a very strong technical background would qualify as well.
- Experience with one or more of the following simulation tools: PSCAD/EMTDC, Matlab/Simulink, PSS/E, DIgSILENT Power Factory, or others similar.
- Self-driven, extrovert, analytical and able to create and maintain an overview of complex tasks. At the same time, you are good at networking.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Chinese & French knowledge would be a plus.
- Motivated by working in a strong technical and customer-oriented environment.
- Experience performing studies in one or more of the following domains: steady state, dynamic and transient.
- Remote working will be allowed if required.
