About the role

Our Electrification & Innovation (E&I) business drives Australia's transition to cleaner energy by developing scalable, sustainable electrification products. We continuously refine our offerings to deliver greater value to customers and invest in breakthrough ideas that have the potential to transform how Australians live for generations.

Sitting within the Home Energy Transition, the team is focused on incubating and scaling innovative products that empower customers to decarbonise their lives while attracting new and existing customers to sustainable energy solutions.

As the Product Lead – Home Optimisation is responsible for developing and scaling flexibility and optimisation products that help customers maximise the value of their Customer Energy Resources (CER). Additionally, you will be leading a delivery squad, to help define product strategies and prioritise initiatives based on deep electrification and CER expertise.

What you’ll be doing

• Strategy & Delivery: Own and execute the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and measurable outcomes through OKRs.
• Technology & Innovation: Oversee home energy management and VPP solutions, integrating Product Owners' requirements to develop a seamless, future-ready technology stack.
• Leadership & Team Management: Lead a cross-functional squad, fostering collaboration, coaching team members, and ensuring effective backlog prioritisation for delivery.
• Commercial & Risk Management: Drive the financial performance balancing customer experience, technology stability, and mitigating risks.
• Market & Stakeholder Engagement: Stay ahead of industry trends and manage key external relationships with partners, energy bodies, and vendors.

About you

• Previous demonstrated experience as a Senior Product Owner, demonstrating successful oversight of multiple product initiatives.
• Exceptional leadership and collaboration abilities, fostering a cohesive and innovative team environment.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools, ensuring effective backlog management and sprint planning.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, enabling clear articulation of product visions and objectives.
• Analytical mindset, adept at translating market insights and user feedback into actionable product enhancements.
• Proactive problem-solving skills, anticipating challenges and devising strategic solutions to ensure project success.
