Job Description
We are looking for a Deputy O&M Manager to be based in either Milan or Verona, Italy. Join our dynamic Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team successfully maintaining 300 megawatts (MW). Your contribution to the energy transition
As you will be responsible for managing the operation and maintenance contracts of the Utility Scale Plants in Italy. These currently include the 42 MWp Sardinia PV plant and the 42 MWp Loreo PV plant, with more to be added in the near future. He / she will take over a mixture of commercial and technical tasks and will report to the O&M Team Leader – Italy. The place of work will be one of our offices in Verona or Milan.
You can look forward to the following tasks;
- Acquire excellent knowledge of all contractual requirements and support the O&M team in any contractual queries.
- Take ownership of all contractual deliverables, develop and update tracking registers to monitor that all documentation (operational reports, HSE documentations, invoices, etc.) is submitted on time.
- Act as the first point of contact for the clients, in regard to any contractual, commercial or (escalated) operational issues.
- Negotiate with the clients any additional work / variation orders.
- Manage relations with suppliers (regarding warranty issues) and O&M subcontractors, in coordination with the O&M Team Leader.
- Monitor the ongoing performance of the plants, in relation to the contractual KPIs.
- Support the implementation of quality systems in the Utility Scale Plants, through the standardization of O&M processes and procedures. Develop and apply method statements, operating plans and checklists, to support the O&M site teams and control the correctness, completeness and timing of execution of the scheduled maintenance.
- Assist the O&M site teams with the performance of Root Cause Analysis, when needed.
- Support the O&M Team Leader and the O&M Team with other tasks, including O&M and /or revamping activities in the rest of the portfolio in Italy, as needed.
- Act as a replacement of the O&M Team Leader when the latter is not available.
Your energy is required
You impress us with these qualifications:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree / bachelor / diploma of technical institute.
- At least 6 years’ experience in the maintenance or construction of PV plants or other powerplants.
- At least 3 years’ experience managing O&M or EPC contracts for PV plants or other powerplants.
- Experience in the construction, commissioning or O&M of utility scale PV plants ( > 20 MWp single plant) will be considered a plus.
- Experience in working for or with corporate clients / large IPPs will be considered a plus.
- Good knowledge of HSE procedures and regulations.
- Very good IT skills, emphasizing on MS Excel.
- Very good knowledge of English language (both spoken and written).
- Ability to remain in control and perform effectively under pressure.
- Ability to work under limited supervision.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Good administrative and reporting skills.
- Willing to travel occasionally to the PV plants managed (up to 10% of working time).
- Valid driver’s license.
