Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand sales efforts with a focus on sustainability-driven products and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and partners, with an emphasis on long-term business growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging market trends and industry insights.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to achieve product certifications for the European market, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and meeting market demands.
- Participate in product development and strategy discussions, providing insights from previous experience in energy-related projects to better position and understand our products.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, with the expectation of regular business travel across Europe and potentially beyond.
- Mentor and develop junior sales and sustainability team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Work closely with marketing and PR teams to align sales strategies with broader communication efforts, including content creation and reviewing marketing posts.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, International Relations, Energy, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of professional experience in sustainability, international relations, or project management, with a proven track record in a startup environment.
- Experience in renewable energy projects or related fields, with a deep understanding of sustainability products and the energy sector.
- Strong sales acumen with experience in driving sales growth and developing client relationships within the sustainability or energy sectors.
- Proven success in managing product certifications and navigating European market regulations.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint); basic knowledge of Python, R, or Stata; experience with CRM systems; and an understanding of climate risk assessment and CO2 emissions calculations and reduction strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a focus on building and maintaining long-term business relationships.
- Fluency in English and Russian is required; proficiency in French or German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel frequently for business across Europe and beyond.
