As a Surveyor you willprovideprofessional site auditing services to obtain and communicate the necessary technical data to the Freedom Forever Construction Review team for the preparation of project scope information needed to adequately propose a solar system design, as well asprovidepermit ready documents needed tofacilitatethe installation of solar systems.We offer an extensive benefits package which includes:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel to project sites to obtain necessary information to complete technical design documents for a solar system
  • Create detailed rooftop map layout for solar arrays including roof layout dimensions and all roof penetrations (pipes, vents etc.)
  • Develop a positive relationship with customers toestablishrapport and to gather facilities assessment data as needed
  • Conduct a physical site audit using auditing tools including a tablet/phone with apps, measuring devices, and other related equipment
  • Upload site audit documents as needed to coordinate with the design/engineering department to produce permit-ready documents within no later than midnight the day of Site Audit
  • Follow Freedom Forever Standard Operating Procedures for Site Audit to ensure a smooth handoff between departments
  • Provideandmaintaina current driver's license and a clean driving record to safelyoperateaCompany vehicle
  • Develop relationships with sales team, design professionals and subcontractors to support the business activities
  • Gathers detailed structural data on multiple types of buildings
  • Identifiesissues on homes that may interfere with our installations
  • Gathers all electrical data required by theCompany
  • Perform other duties asassigned

Qualification Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • High School Graduate or GED orTrade School degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences, engineering or architecture

Experience

  • 1- 3 years of construction experience preferred; site audit and solar experience is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to understand, read, and comprehends contract documents and plans; written and verbal communication skills requiredin order toprepare site audit documents and conduct site audit meetings with customers
  • Must be physically able to work on roofs and in attics, as well as lift 50+ pounds on occasion
  • Must have a valid state driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to travel to different offices if needed
  • Must be able to work various schedules with at least 1 weekend dayrequired
  • Must be able to follow all safety procedures required by theCompany

  • Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects
  • Understand the speech of another person
  • Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
  • See differences between colors, shades, and brightness
  • Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) whileremainingin place
  • Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body forlong periodswithout getting tired
  • Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position
  • React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet
  • While looking forward, see objects or movements that are off to the side
  • Work in multiple weather conditions which include but are not limited to, wet weather, snow,andextreme heat
  • Lift 50+ pounds

**Travel Requirements**(Employee is required to travel for business purposes, not including commute to and from work.)If required to travel, must have a valid Driver's License/Insurance and the ability to drive a personal vehicle to different sites.
