Project Engineer

Sun Share Energy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Project Engineer will play a critical role in the planning, design, and execution of solar energy projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles, project management, and renewable energy technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design and development of solar energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the viability of potential project sites, considering factors such as solar irradiance, shading, topography, and electrical infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, construction, and operations to coordinate project activities and timelines effectively.
• Prepare detailed project plans, specifications, and drawings using CAD software, incorporating technical requirements and customer preferences.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations to optimize system performance, energy output, and cost-effectiveness.
• Procure materials and equipment, solicit bids from vendors, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality standards are met.
• Oversee construction activities, conduct site inspections, and resolve technical issues as they arise during the installation phase.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field personnel, subcontractors, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with regulatory agencies, utility companies, and permitting authorities to secure necessary approvals and permits for project development.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and resource allocation, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including as-built drawings, commissioning reports, and operation manuals for handover to the client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil) or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverters, mounting structures, and electrical components.
• Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
