The GridX product team is looking for a Group Product Manager to lead and craft inspiring Products that deliver rate analytics and billing software to our energy sector clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong product management background, an affinity for data analytics, and the ability to communicate ideas across design, engineering, operations, customer success, and client stakeholders and lead the vision for our product organization, including billing and analytics software. As a Group Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of product managers and driving the strategic vision, development, and execution of products within our organization while also executing on the roadmap.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead product discovery process to establish product/market fit, in collaboration with marketing, engineering and design
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, establish timelines, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Monitor key performance metrics and customer feedback to iterate on existing products and drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with the Sales team in assessing product gaps and product market fit when responding to RFPs and other prospective customer inquiries
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including executives, engineering teams, sales, marketing, and customer support. Communicate product updates, milestones, and challenges effectively to ensure alignment and support from all stakeholders. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, and messaging for product launches.
  • Serve as a passionate advocate for your products, both internally and externally. Gather customer feedback and market insights to drive product enhancements and inform future roadmap decisions.
  • Build strategy and roadmap across product offerings
  • Drive product vision and requirements, translate them to functional specifications and facilitate a sound product design
  • Facilitate gathering of bugs, feedback and feature requests from internal and external stakeholders
  • Prioritize and manage a product backlog for effective release and sprint planning working across products & teams
  • Support Solution Architect and Customer Success teams in ensuring successful and effective delivery and adoption of your products across clients
  • Manage and mentor a team of product managers, setting a high bar and providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster their professional growth. Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the product team

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in product management, project management, consulting, data analysis, or equivalent, with a track record of successfully launching and managing products in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in managing and leading a team to execute on big ideas
  • 8+ years of experience in the utility or energy industries
  • Experience working in high-performing product teams, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration, early & rapid testing, and outcomes over output
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Prior experience in a managerial role
  • Experience in identifying new product opportunities and aligning stakeholders on a vision
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Ability to distill complex ideas and translate them into terms relevant to disparate stakeholders, including engineers, designers, subject matter experts, and lay people.
  • Apply a creative and flexible mindset to planning and problem-solving with the ability to focus on the details while maintaining perspective on the big picture
  • Drive to build the tools and software that enable GridX to be a catalyst for a clean energy future
  • Ability to work across time zones and with offshore teams in a dynamic start-up setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Agile product development
  • Experience working with a start-up

Your Location

Because much of the team is based in San Francisco, CA, it is preferred that the selected candidate be located in the Bay Area but it is not required. The role will include occasional work at a GridX We-Work shared office or attendance at offsites and/or customer sites, as determined by your role’s responsibilities and agreed to with your manager.

Compensation

Compensation is based on your specific location, and, for this position, may range from $150,000 to $210,000/year base salary + equity & benefits/perks. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on skill set, qualifications, experience and location.
