Solution Architect OT

To remain competitive in the future energy market, Eneco aims to smarten more assets, meaning monitoring and controlling them live. We use both traditional OT and IoT for this purpose, which brings new challenges in terms of security, management, and costs. As a Solution Architect, you help mitigate the specific risks of OT in the proposed solutions.

What you’ll do

In this international role, you will take care of our sustainable assets in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom. You play a crucial role in the energy transition, collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders at operational, tactical, and strategic levels. Your main responsibilities include:

• Unlocking new sustainable assets in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
• Developing robust and scalable standard solutions together with architects, security, and operations specialists.
• Contributing to the IT/OT roadmap for renewable energy assets.
• Acting as a bridge between technology and business, as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Translating the needs of internal customers into solutions at the intersection of OT and IT.
• Designing solutions and convincingly explaining them to both end-users and management.

Is this about you?

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in architecture and Operational Technology.
• Proven affinity with operationalizing technologies and processes, and experience with change management.
• Knowledge of networks and management strategies for remote IT infrastructure and IT/OT security standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of virtualization and network technologies, remote management, and OT security standards is a plus.
• Service-oriented and pragmatic, as a theoretical solution is not always the best fit.
• A team player who enjoys seeking out others and is not afraid to share ideas.
• Fluent in both English and Dutch, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You’ll be responsible for

• Responsible for the digital integration of assets for other departments.
• Responsible for IT/OT and enabling the energy transition.
• Setting priorities and maintaining an overview of various projects.
• Structuring and organizing processes within the department.
• Continuously maintaining contact with the business and external stakeholders such as CMC and third parties.

This is where you’ll work

You will join an enthusiastic team of motivated colleagues within the Business Technology Assets department. This team consists of approximately 35 colleagues, including IT, IoT, and OT teams. It is a dynamic team with a wide range of expertise and interests. You will work daily with both your department and external stakeholders.
