Job Description

Position Summary
Lead Solar Install Technicians install and lead other crew members to complete the attachment of racking and solar panels on roof or other structures, such as a ground mount, carport, or awning. You should be able to understand system design and layout, secure racking and solar panels according to plans, and troubleshoot issues related to the solar array. And here’s the big one—you can’t be afraid of heights!
Role Responsibilities
- Leading other Solar Install Technicians to completed Commercial projects accurately and on time
- Work closely with Electricians, Project Managers and Design throughout install
- Layout and assembly of array mounting hardware and infrastructure to roof structures
- Installation of PV Modules and DC runs
- Completing all project documentation in a timely manner
- Maintain company provided tools, vehicles, and materials needed for job responsibilities
- Enforcing company and OSHA safety programs with all personnel under your supervision
- Representing A&R Solar Culture and Values in the field with customers and team members
- Workdays are 10-hour days, Monday - Thursday. Every week is a three day weekend
Skill Requirements
- Experience with Commercial Solar Installations
- Experience with the safe use of hand-held and power tools
- Ability to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot sun, crawl spaces, wind and rain, etc.
- Ability to take supervisory role and hold others accountable in safety and installation quality
- Excellent Time Management, Delegation and Troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders and roofs throughout work day
License Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- CPR First Aid Certification required with 30 days of Hire Date
- Forklift and Aerial Certification with 30 days of Hire Date
- OSHA 30 Certification required within 6 months of Hire Date
