We're looking for a new colleague who'd like to join our electric adventure!

What your day would look like
At Zaptec, we’re on a mission to make EV charging smarter and more accessible. As a Sales Manager, you’ll play a key role in expanding our footprint across the UK’s automotive market. In this role, you’ll build strategic partnerships directly with Vehicle OEMS, Fleet Operators, CPOs and dealerships to help position Zaptec as their trusted go-to EV charging brand.
You’ll play a key role in driving Zaptec’s growth by identifying new partners, leading onboarding processes, and nurturing long-term relationships — all to accelerate electrification across critical sectors. Working closely with our product and marketing teams, you’ll be at the heart of Zaptec’s fleet strategy to drive growth and create a lasting impact
In this role, we believe some of your tasks will be to
- Identify and engage new business opportunities within the OEM, Fleet and dealership space.
- Build and maintain long term relationships with strategic partners.
- Understand client needs and position Zaptec’s solution to meet both technical and commercial requirements.
- Develop commercial proposals, negotiate contracts and close high end deals.
- Completing tenders for clients in the public & private sector.
- Work with Fleet Managers and electrical partners to ensure a high standard of client experience is attained.
- Work closely with the product, marketing, and technical teams to align go-to-market strategies.
- Attend relevant industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows to promote Zaptec.
- Manage incoming leads.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide weekly reporting on performance, wins, and challenges.
Is this you?
To thrive in this role, we’re looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in B2B sales—ideally with experience in the EV charging (EVCP) sector. However, we also welcome candidates from the OEM, Fleet or Car Leasing industries who bring a solid understanding of automotive partnerships, even if their EVCP experience is limited. You’re someone who thrives in the field, excels at building trusted relationships, and is passionate about enabling clients and partners to succeed.
As for the skills required for this job
- Proven ability to grow accounts and develop long-term partnerships.
- Experience working in the Fleet/OEM space – strong product and technical knowledge in EV charging experience is a plus.
- A natural communicator in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Organised, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Driven by relationships and commercial impact, always seeking to deliver value beyond the initial sale.
- Experience using CRM tools and tracking performance.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
