Role Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished Project Manager with significant experience in managing complex projects and driving commercial processes around the development of renewable energy assets in the green hydrogen or related sectors. As a vital member of our team, you will lead and oversee all commercial aspects of the electrolyser plant development. Reporting to the Head of Hydrogen Project Development, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our ambitious growth plans in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the Hydrogen interest of RWE in the development of large-scale projects and act as internal focal point towards senior management
• Ensure adequate resourcing on the project and maintain control of the budget
• Supervise and coordinate Hydrogen activities of RWE's project team members
• Lead and oversee all commercial project activities related to the development of electrolyser plants towards final investment decision, from term sheets to hydrogen sales agreements and asset related contracts. This includes contracts with hydrogen off-takers, infrastructure and utility providers and green power suppliers.
• Challenge and optimize Hydrogen business cases, integrating inputs from various teams
• Enter into discussions, negotiations and dialogue with relevant parties in close collaboration with internal subject matter experts
• Collaborate with colleagues from RWE Renewables and RWE Supply and Trading, as well as the H2 Business expert to stay informed about Hydrogen developments
• Collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders in the renewable energy domain.

Your Qualifications and Skills

• Degree in business, economics or engineering
• At least 10 years professional experience in project management and negotiation of supply contracts in the renewable or gas sector
• Experience in development of energy asset projects and related contracting framework
• Have a solid technical understanding of industrial facilities as well as of the Dutch energy market and stakeholders
• Sophisticated thinking abilities, incorporating both analytical and conceptual
• Strong and convincing communication skills towards all hierarchy levels, including exposure to top management level
• Result driven and structured way of working
• Willingness to travel and possess a valid driving license (class B).
• Fluent in both Dutch and English
