Ameresco is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support the construction of projects nationwide, specifically; renewable natural gas (RNG) projects utilizing biomethane sources including landfill gas, wastewater treatment anaerobic digester gas, or agricultural anaerobic digester gas that is processed to achieve pipeline quality standards. NOTE: This position is a remote based position and periodic travel to jobsites is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Document Control and Distribution: Maintain organization of project documents, plan sets, and specifications onsite and on Procore; Ensure timely distribution of documents to the project team.
  • Inventory Control: Assist with inventory control of instrumentation, valves, and equipment; Work with CMs/PMs to update logs and document the receipt and inspection of items received on site; Verify fulfillment of material orders.
  • Jobsite Trailer Organization and Coordination: Assist onsite CMs with jobsite trailer organization (plan sets, as-builts, etc.); Support daily activities and project/contractor coordination/scheduling; Be prepared for full-time travel between multiple projects.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC): Assist site CMs/PMs with overall QA/QC processes.
  • Data Entry and Communication: Enter daily reports and photos on Procore; Process RFIs (Requests for Information) and ensure timely responses; Process construction submittals and review comments promptly; Attend project meetings and create/distribute meeting notes.
  • Change Orders and Project Schedules: Gather information and create/send out change orders to subcontractors and client representatives; Assist in maintaining project schedules and communicate with subcontractors.
  • Project Updates and Bid Packages: Provide accurate and timely project status updates and communication to Managers; Assist with issuing bid packages to vendors and subcontractors for pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Proposal Analysis and Progress Tracking: Assist with analyzing proposals and selecting bidders; Track progress of vendors and subcontractors.
  • Permit Procurement and Budget Tracking: Assist with the procurement of permits (city, county, or state); Help track project budget.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive and effective business relationships with all parties involved.
  • Perform other duties necessary on the jobsite as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or the equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in construction projects, preferably related to energy, renewable natural gas, power generation or the industrial area.

Additional Qualifications

  • Advanced computer applications skills (Microsoft), including Project Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience in developing project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and act quickly with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work with multi-functional teams including contractors, engineers, equipment vendors, customers and regulators.
  • Excellent organization skills including ability to effectively work on multiple projects.
  • Strong verbal, written, computer and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel nearly 100% to jobsite to during construction.
  • Willingness to grow, learn and be trained on more skills.
  • Valid Driver License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
  • Procore experience would be preferrable but not necessary.
