Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic Senior Sales Executive to help us expand our reach in the commercial and industrial (C&I) sectors.
Key Responsibilities & Job Objectives
- Client Acquisition: Establish and grow new accounts by organizing and planning daily schedules to engage potential clients and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Relationship Building: Develop long-term relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Sales Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, submit detailed proposals, and maintain consistent follow-up with contacts.
- Performance Tracking: Record all sales activities in Salesforce, collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams, and provide regular updates to management through pipeline reviews and performance analyses.
- Market Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing and offerings, gather relevant market information, and recommend strategic adjustments to stay competitive.
- Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with management and in-house counsel to negotiate multi-million-dollar contracts, ensuring favorable terms and successful deals.
- Forecasting & Pricing: Gather information to support forecasting and project pricing, contributing to accurate and strategic business planning.
- Professional Development: Maintain and enhance professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and participating in conferences.
- Team Collaboration: Support the team with related tasks and contribute to collective goals by accomplishing assigned duties.
- Sales Quotas & KPIs: Meet or exceed sales quotas and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive company growth and success.
Education & Experience
- Education
- College degree or 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven B2B sales experience, ideally in commercial solar.
- Working knowledge of the solar industry, including system design, construction, product knowledge, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts.
Special Requirements
- High level of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn various computer programs.
- Strong networking skills with a proven ability to expand your customer base.
- Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
Location & Work Environment
- The position can be based in Annapolis, MD; Boulder, CO; Roseville, MN; or Horseheads, NY.
- This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2-3 full days in the office.
