Area Business Manager (m/w/d)

What you would be expected to do

• Lead the development of the product roadmap and strategy for Sun King’s solar home systems and related products, ensuring alignment with company goals and market needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, sales, and marketing, to define product requirements and specifications.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
• Prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market analysis, and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and release notes.
• Monitor product performance and customer satisfaction, using data to inform future product decisions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and provide support to internal teams and customers as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product development and strategy.

You might be a strong candidate if you

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business, design) or equivalent experience.
• Have 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the renewable energy or technology sectors.
• Have a strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Are data-driven and have experience using analytics tools to inform product decisions.
• Are passionate about renewable energy and improving access to clean energy solutions for underserved communities.
• Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can adapt to changing priorities.
