Job Description
We're helping the masses to join the electric driving revolution, by making it cheaper, easier and greener to make the switch.
Over the past 2 years we've been scaling our consumer leasing proposition and it's taking off. We need your help to take us to the next stage of growth.
What you'll do...
- Own the consumer marketing strategy for our consumer leasing proposition, "Intelligent EV"; align the strategy with growth milestones, focusing on user acquisition and conversion
- Implement our marketing activity; we run all our digital activity in house so you'll need to be confident being hands on with campaign management in the channels
- Lead a cross-functional B2C marketing squad to deliver on our growth ambitions, spanning search, CRM, social, price comparison sites, cross-sell channels within the Octopus Group and testing new channels. - This is an individual contributor role but you'll have support from the wider marketing team to execute your plans
- Seek out new growth opportunities, finding ways to test them, learn rapidly and scale what works
- Use customer insights and data to hone segmentation and targeting across all channels
- Manage budget and forecasting; own and manage the marketing budget in line with a CPA target, including taking opportunities to spend more if we can, or reduce spend if we need to
- Champion a test-and-learn culture through experimentation and A/B testing to continuously improve campaign performance
- Report on commercial performance to senior stakeholders across the business on an ongoing basis
- Mentor and develop junior team members; provide guidance, coaching, and support to help grow the skills of other marketers on the team
What you'll need...
- Proven Growth Marketing experience (minimum of 5 years) ideally in high-growth scale up businesses
- Commercially driven: a track record of driving commercial outcomes through digital marketing activity
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools (e.g. GA4, Databricks or similar)
- A data-driven approach: an analytical mindset and strong grasp of performance metrics is crucial
- A passion for customer experience and insight-lead marketing
- Adaptability: we work at a very fast pace so we need you to be collaborative, proactive, and open to ripping up the rulebook and doing things differently
- Excellent communication skills: you need to write compelling briefs for our content team, and on occasion write copy from scratch
- Stakeholder management: you'll need to be confident in communicating our strategy to senior stakeholders and managing competing priorities from across the business
- Growth mindset: with a focus on building positive feedback loops to continuously improve marketing campaigns and team performance
- Ability to ruthlessly prioritise and think critically - there's always a lot going on and loads of cool things we could do; you need to be able to decipher which tasks we should do
- CRM experience: a bonus but not essential providing you're digitally savvy and numerically confident
- A natural curiosity and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in marketing
