Job Description
KK Wind Solutions (KKWS) is on an ambitious growth and transformation journey - and we're seeking an accomplished and visionary Vice President, Project Management Office, with a proven record of leading large-scale, complex industrial project portfolios within international organizations.
This role is intended for an accomplished leader with a proven ability to operate at a strategic level, combining strong technical insight with the capability to drive business strategy through effective project execution. In this strategic leadership role, you'll lead a high performing team delivering high-impact projects for some of the world's largest OEMs in the renewables industry. Your expertise will shape world-class project governance, drive performance excellence, and set new benchmarks for project execution. This is more than just managing timelines and budgets, it's about driving customer satisfaction, fostering long-term partnerships, and influencing executive decisions to propel Power & Controls towards its strategic goals.
Responsibilities
You will be a member of the Power & Controls leadership team:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Power & Controls strategy, ensuring strategic projects are aligned with divisional objectives;
- Represent the project execution and delivery perspective in leadership decision-making forums;
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to drive cross-functional alignment, operational excellence, and customer-centric thinking across the division;
- Support initiatives for continuous improvement, risk management, and organizational development within Power & Controls;
- Act as a role model for leadership behaviors and values, fostering a high-performance culture.
As Head of PMO:
- Lead and develop the Project Management Office (PMO) team, building project management competencies and best practices;
- Oversee planning, execution, and governance of strategic projects for key customers, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-quality delivery;
- Ensure strong stakeholder and resource coordination across functions (Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sourcing) to deliver on project commitments;
- Act as senior escalation point for project issues and coordinate effective resolution;
- Drive standardization, reporting, and continuous improvement of project processes and tools;
- Represent the PMO in executive customer interactions, including steering committees and governance reviews;
- Track performance and proactively manage risks, opportunities, and changes affecting project outcomes.
Our requirements
What you bring to the role:
- A Master's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline;
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading a Project Management Office (PMO), with a strong track record in people leadership and team development;
- 10+ years of progressive experience in program and project management, ideally within industrial or technical B2B environments;
- Demonstrated success in leading strategic and complex projects, preferably within the wind or renewable energy sector;
- Hands-on experience managing customer-driven projects, including delivery models such as build-to-print, build-to-spec, and build-to-requirement;
- A deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. Certification or hands-on experience with frameworks such as IPMA, PMI/PMP, Prince2, Scrum, or Half Double is a strong advantage;
- Proven leadership capabilities, including managing international and cross-functional teams;
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to navigate and influence across a matrix organization;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written);
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30-50 days/year);
- Candidates open to relocating to Denmark are warmly encouraged to apply. Relocation support may be provided for the right candidate.
