Ameresco is currently seeking a talented Corporate Legal Intern to support the Legal Department at our headquarters in Framingham, MA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members of the legal department drafting resolutions, certificates and other documents for review by attorneys.
  • Work closely with members of the legal department performing routine filings and compliance work related to permitting of projects.
  • Provide support maintaining and organizing corporate documents, minute books. etc.
  • Monitor changes to government guidelines or regulations and assist in submitting reports on pertinent changes as requested by attorneys.
  • Assist members of the legal department in preparation and review of securities law filings.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the legal department.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Graduate Program in Law, Political Science, Business, or related discipline

Additional Qualifications

  • Interest in renewable energy and energy efficiency, a plus.
  • Previous legal administrative experience or experience in an office setting, a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Willingness to take initiative, pay attention to detail and be proactive.
  • Excellent communications, writing and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent opportunity for a candidate considering law school or finance career in this dynamic industry, position provides hands-on experience of complex transactions in the development and financings of renewable resources.
