We are looking for a Enterprise Architect, Marine to join our Enterprise Architecture team working for a better future. The preferred location for this position is Helsinki, Finland. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.

Your role and responsibilities

As an Enterprise Architect, Marine your work will focus to developing the Enterprise Architecture of Wärtsilä and for Wärtsilä Marine. On a typical day, you might be starting with interesting discussions about upcoming strategic projects and end the day with advising business on the next possible steps to secure compliance to different customer requirements. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support of our business, cyber and IT organisation.

Your work will focus on these responsibilities

• Co-creation of strategic Information Technology related roadmaps for Marine Businesses.
• Describing the needed development actions from business, information, application, and technical aspects to reach desired business outcomes.
• Based on the co-created roadmap, further planning of signature-ready development initiatives together with IT organization and business stakeholders.
• Guiding and supporting of key development initiatives/projects.
• Working as trusted advisor towards Marine Businesses and participating in development ideation.

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have

• 10+ years of experience in Business and/or IT in global environment
• M.Sc. University degree
• Knowledge on how to create roadmaps, design fit-for-purpose solutions and have skills to model and visualize needed change to achieve target position of business
• Fluency in ensuring how business requirements are fulfilled with IT solutions
• Understanding of complex international business environments and experience working with different stakeholders, from business Vice President to a technical specialist
• The ability to think strategically and capability to work as trusted advisor towards business.
• Strong capability to lead, coach, and support IT professionals working in various specialist roles
• Prior experience of Marine industry as operating environment is considered as an asset, as well as understanding of related standards and business models
