We're now looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join one of our cross-functional product teams. This is a role for someone who thrives in complex distributed systems, enjoys real ownership, and wants to influence how scalable cloud services are built and evolved.

You won't just implement features. You'll help shape the systems behind them.

You'll work hands-on in the core of our backend platform, the services that power real-time charging, device communication and business-critical functionality across markets.

What your day might include

• Designing and developing backend services in .NET (C#)
• Building and evolving scalable, resilient and secure cloud-based solutions
• Contributing to architectural discussions and technical direction within the team
• Reviewing code, mentoring colleagues and raising the overall engineering standard
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and optimising production systems

You'll operate in a world-leading IoT environment where hardware, firmware and cloud services must work seamlessly together, and at scale.

You're an experienced backend engineer who naturally takes ownership, not because you're told to, but because you see what needs to be done. You're comfortable operating in complex systems where reliability, scalability and long-term thinking matter. Writing clean, maintainable code isn't a goal in itself, it's simply how you work.

You think beyond the ticket in front of you. You care about reducing technical debt, improving architecture and building solutions that will still make sense a year from now. You're used to collaborating across disciplines, contributing to technical direction and challenging decisions constructively when needed.

You stay curious, you stay pragmatic, and you know how to balance engineering excellence with momentum. You don't need the "architect" title to think architecturally.

As for the skills required for this job

• Experience building and maintaining scalable cloud-based solutions
• Experience with Azure SQL and/or PostgreSQL
• Experience with Entity Framework or similar ORM
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, Log Analytics, OpenTelemetry)
• Understanding of containerisation and distributed systems
• Fluent in English, written and spoken

It's a bonus if you have experience with frontend technologies like React, JavaScript, CSS and/or HTML.
