Your responsibilities

As an Earth Observations Manager, you will contribute to the development and application of geospatial analyses and methodologies for nature-based solutions and climate-related projects. You will support the generation of high-quality, data-driven insights to inform environmental decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Conduct geospatial analysis and modeling to assess environmental patterns, land use, and climate-related risks
  • Apply and support carbon methodologies (e.g., ARR, REDD+, sustainable land management) in project development and assessment
  • Develop and implement automated geospatial workflows using Python, R, or Google Earth Engine
  • Produce high-quality maps, visualizations, and technical outputs to support internal and external decision-making
  • Perform eligibility, risk, and vulnerability assessments for nature-based and climate projects
  • Support biomass estimation and carbon accounting using remote sensing data
  • Analyze ecosystem and biodiversity metrics, including habitat condition, fragmentation, and carbon sequestration
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of geospatial databases and analytical tools
  • Provide technical input to proposals, reports, and research applications
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, implement, and improve geospatial methodologies and project approaches

Your profile

You bring:

  • A degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in geospatial data analysis
  • Hands-on experience with GIS tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Google Earth Engine)
  • Solid understanding of climate change, nature-based solutions, and environmental systems
  • Experience with remote sensing data and spatial datasets
  • Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, structured insights and visual outputs
  • A proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in an international environment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
