Maas Energy Works

约140名员工(来源:americanbiogascouncil.org)。

Job Description

The Operations Field Technician II will ensure the RNG facility and all equipment related to biogas handling, upgrading, clean-up, and power generation (combustion engines/generators) are operating properly. The technician is expected to perform routine and preventative maintenance, repair equipment as necessary, and troubleshoot issues as they arise, while coordinating with co-workers and business partners as needed. Equipment to be operated and serviced will most commonly include biogas-powered generator engines (gensets), PLCs, data loggers, biogas blowers, reciprocating and screw compressors, 3-phase motors, and electrical wiring. Applicants should have experience with a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment and enjoy troubleshooting issues within industrial facilities. Excellent communication skills (verbal, phone, email, and text) are needed to work in this team-based, distributed support environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with genset engines and generator units, diagnosing mechanical or electrical problems. Conduct engine overhauls and major repairs as needed (e.g., replacing or rebuilding components such as cylinder heads, valve trains, pistons, connecting rods, crankshafts, turbochargers) and ensure generator windings and electrical systems are properly maintained. Also assist in troubleshooting other facility equipment (such as PLCs, compressors, and pumps) on-site or via remote support tools as issues arise.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for all critical equipment, especially gensets. Utilize the company's maintenance tracking software (CMMS) to schedule and document maintenance activities, track performance, and ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate repair work with team members and external contractors as necessary, and ensure all maintenance checklists and standard operating procedures are followed and completed on schedule.
  • Oversee on-site operations, ensuring that all equipment and systems (including the biogas digesters, gas upgrading systems, and generator engines) are operating as designed while maximizing facility up-time.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory to ensure critical replacement components are readily available.
  • Communicate via email, text, and phone with team members, clients, and business partners as necessary regarding operational status, maintenance plans, and issues.
  • Support team members and contribute to a collaborative, team-based work environment, while balancing reactive and preventative maintenance priorities as appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all safety procedures and regulatory requirements, including those related to site operations, digester systems, and RNG equipment.
