Job Description
Shape and lead emerging technology opportunities that support Hydro's strategy, sustainability goals and energy transition.
- Drive future-focused technology innovation across Hydro Tasmania
- Contribute to a renewable energy future for Australia.
- Based in Hobart or Melbourne with real flexible working arrangements.
Salary range $140,877 - $163,308 plus super
About the role
In this role, you will lead emerging technology pilots and scale innovations that unlock growth, optimise performance and support the energy transition. As a trusted technical leader, you will work closely with business and technology teams to balance experimentation with strong architecture, governance and commercial focus.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify high-value AI and emerging technology opportunities aligned to strategy
- Translate ideas into pilots, proofs of value and scalable solutions
- Lead prioritised innovation work based on enterprise value, cost and risk
- Partner with business and IT teams to build robust digital and AI investment cases
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, cyber and governance standards
Skills and Experience
- Bring strong experience in digital transformation, innovation or enterprise architecture
- Work effectively across operational and commercial environments
- Convert emerging technology into clear, tangible business outcomes
- Apply strong commercial acumen and business case development skills
- Influence stakeholders and drive positive outcomes in changing environments
