CLIMACT is a Belgian firm supporting organisations through the energy and climate transition. From our Brussels headquarters, we work with private companies, public authorities and other organisations across Belgium and Europe , from long-term transition scenarios through to near-term strategy and change management, combining tailor-made consulting with our own models and off-the-shelf software. Our mission: empower our clients to turn climate ambition into action, towards a sustainable, net-zero society by 2050.

As we grow our presence in Flanders, we're looking for a commercially driven, Dutch-speaking Business Development Manager who's as passionate about sustainability as they are about winning new business.

What you'll own

You'll be our main commercial point of contact in Flanders, building relationships, opening doors, and closing deals across our service areas: energy transition strategy, climate planning, renewable energy projects, and regulatory markets.

Concretely, you will:

• Develop and execute a commercial strategy targeting Flemish companies, industries, public authorities, and federations
• Actively prospect and grow a client portfolio, with real ownership over your pipeline and targets
• Build a strong network across the Flemish business and public ecosystem
• Partner with our technical experts to craft compelling proposals and defend them with confidence
• Represent CLIMACT at conferences, forums, and industry events in the region
• Keep a close eye on market trends, policy shifts, and competitive dynamics, and bring that intelligence back to the team

What you'll bring

• 3-5 years of B2B business development or commercial project management experience, ideally in energy, sustainability, or cleantech
• A proven track record of winning clients and managing commercial relationships
• An established network in Flemish corporate and industrial circles
• An entrepreneurial mindset: resilient, creative, results-driven, and comfortable with autonomy
• Genuine interest in the energy transition and the policy landscape shaping it
• Strong listening and communication skills, you know how to understand a client's real needs and translate them into solutions
• Native Dutch speaker or equivalent, with fluent English
