We are looking for a R&D Project Manager to join our Industrial Measurements Products and Technologies, Portfolio Management team at Vaisala headquarters in Vantaa, Finland.

What's your role?

You will lead R&D projects that bring our next generation of measurement instruments to life - from concepting to full production capabilities, uniting multidisciplinary teams of specialists around a shared goal to deliver products that meet scope, schedule, and quality targets. Your work turns business ideas into reality, and the culture you build along the way matters just as much as the outcome.

What will you bring?

• Project Manager Experience: You have solid experience leading complex projects end-to-end, taking full ownership of scope, schedule, stakeholders, and team. You apply the right processes, methods, and tools for the job. We appreciate IPMA C or B certification or equivalent proven competence
• Leadership Skills: Vaisala project culture relies on excellence in our development teams. You are an enthusiastic and engaging leader who brings together diverse groups of people toward a shared business goal. You bring out the best in individuals and unite their strengths to deliver results as a team
• Business Understanding: R&D is a strategic enabler for Vaisala's growing business. You collaborate with customers and experts to define winning product characteristics for both existing and new markets
• Industry and manufacturing know-how: You understand what it takes to bring a product from concept to volume production. You and your project team are responsible for building the full capability to manufacture and deliver the product at Vaisala's factories
• Curiosity and a growth mindset to explore, learn, and apply AI tools in your daily work. We expect everyone at Vaisala to actively discover how AI can enhance their work

You have strong communication and influencing skills in English. You are an energetic and flexible team player who enjoys working with people from different cultures in every part of the global organization. Your focus is on the customers, and you are willing to travel to understand customer needs and wishes. That being said, the position is mainly on site in Vantaa, Finland.
