Objective
Shall look for potential leads and clients for the origination of the company’s Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) projects specifically for commercial and industrial industries that require alternative energy solutions based on their roof space, energy consumption, and budget.
Dependencies
Revenue Generating Groups – Engineering, Project Implementation & Procurement.
Job Description
Revenue Generation (Identified at the beginning of each calendar year)
- Individual Target Capacity (in MW) and % IRR
- Company and Team target (in MW) and % IRR
Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Monitor and report on business development activities and results
- Use KPIs to assess performance and identify areas for improvement
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Engage with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional revenue growth
- Develop and Expand Channel partnering agreements across Commercial and Industrial sectors
Lead Generation, Networking and Sales Pipeline Management
- Identify and qualify leads through networking, referrals, and other channels.
- Manage the sales pipeline to ensure timely follow-ups and conversions.
Strategic Planning
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term business strategies to achieve annual Capacity, IRR targets, and increase revenue
- Create and implement business development plans aligned with company goals.
Proposal Development
- Prepare and present company portfolio, high level proposals, terms sheets and PPA contracts to potential clients.
- Customize solutions that meet client needs and align with company offerings.
Collaboration with Marketing
- Work closely with the marketing team to align business development efforts with marketing awareness, competitive landscape and lead generation campaigns.
- Provide feedback on marketing materials and initiatives based on client interactions.

Educational Attainment: Gained a bachelor’s degree or Post Graduate Studies from a reputable university Minimum Required Experience: With 8 years of proven track record with at least 5 years of experience in delivering high-value energy projects on time and to budget. Experienced in creating persuasive business development propositions relating to technology-based products and solutions. Experience understanding of PPAs, Grid Connection Agreements, etc. knowledge of EPC and O&M contracts. Advanced level in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint (additional software, including SalesForce, are a plus) Be able to develop, dissect, and perform a basic level of financial modeling using Excel-based programming. A thorough understanding of solar power project development (land (or rooftop, as the case may be), grid interconnection, and permitting) is a plus. Prior work experience in a renewable industry, corporate finance, or investment banking firm is preferred. Strong communicator – adept at building highly effective working relationships externally and with colleagues leading internal functions.
