Job Description

At All Energy Solar, we understand that our business thrives when our employees do, which is why our HR team is dedicated to meeting workforce needs while supporting the company's strategic goals. We are looking for a qualified and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to act as a cornerstone of our HR operations. In this role, you will balance administrative and strategic tasks to maintain efficient business operations across our expanding organization. This hands-on role requires technical proficiency with HR systems and a genuine passion for employee support within a growing renewable energy environment. You will collaborate with leadership and external brokers to manage total rewards, ensure compliance, and boost engagement. From addressing employee inquiries and managing HRIS tools to overseeing onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations, this position offers a great path for an HR professional looking to make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Benefits & Total Rewards Management

  • Act as the primary contact for workforce inquiries regarding insurance benefits and claims handling.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marsh McLennan brokerage team to coordinate plan renewals, annual open enrollment periods, and competitive benefits packaging.
  • Manage recurring benefits reconciliation tasks and guarantee precise, prompt enrollment for all new team members.

HRIS Optimization, Metrics & Reporting

  • Lead, maintain, and configure the Paycor HCM/HRIS platform to automate workflows, execute personnel transactions, and safeguard employee data integrity.
  • Compile, evaluate, and distribute key HR analytics-including headcount updates, turnover rates, time-to-fill, and benefits engagement-to inform corporate strategy.

Lifecycle Management: Onboarding, Offboarding & Changes

  • Direct full-cycle pre-employment, orientation, and onboarding structures to ensure new hires integrate successfully and complete mandatory training.
  • Facilitate professional offboarding flows by conducting thorough exit interviews, assisting with coordinating asset recovery and account deactivation.
  • Execute all employee profile changes accurately, including adjustments to personal data, payroll settings, promotions, and compensation tracking - Partner with Payroll & Payables specialist on employee change of statuses and profile management.

Workforce Learning & Professional Development

  • Organize compliance-driven training programs, assist in workplace safety initiatives, and career growth sessions tailored for office and field personnel.
  • Monitor development milestones, trace mandatory completion percentages, and identify emerging operational training needs.
  • Provide vital instructional support for the execution and curriculum development of the Lead to Succeed Manager Framework.

Employment Policy, Compliance & Relations

  • Ensure complete corporate alignment with all regional, state, and national employment rules, handling standard I-9 validation, ACA filings, and EEOC reports.
  • Coordinate routine file audits to secure and maintain highly confidential physical or digital staff logs in agreement with data retention acts.
  • Assist with enhancements to the corporate handbook and actively support performance appraisal frameworks.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources Director on coaching techniques, progressive discipline strategies, and workplace incident reviews while sitting in on formal separation and discovery panels.

Administration, Operations & Company Culture

  • Serve as the initial face and operational contact for the corporate department, managing staff inquiries and providing crucial coverage backup to the front-desk Office Manager.
  • Process initial workers' compensation filings and trace industry certifications, licenses or compliance renewals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and roll out localized employee appreciation, recognition events, and workflow optimization ideas to boost team engagement.
  • Demonstrate a steadfast personal commitment to All Energy Solar foundational values, including safety emphasis, accountability, moral integrity, and a competitive drive.

Skills/Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of progressive human resources experience (such as an HR Coordinator or Generalist) with a Benefits focus alongside a high school diploma or GED; an Associate's degree in HR or a related discipline is preferred, though an equivalent blend of education and relevant background will be evaluated.
  • Practical experience managing benefit plan administration and partnering successfully with external insurance broker agencies.
  • Advanced proficiency and a thorough operational grasp of HR information systems and procedures, with a strong preference for Paycor HCM.
  • Solid comprehension of current employment laws and labor regulations.
  • Highly skilled in using Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) or equivalent professional applications.
  • Proven track record in human resources roles with the ability to support light recruitment and talent acquisition needs occasionally.
  • Absolute capability to safeguard highly sensitive corporate, financial, and personnel information with strict confidentiality.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication talents paired with top-tier customer service capabilities.
  • Outstanding conflict-resolution, coaching, and relationship-building skills to engage effectively across all tiers of the organization.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (frequent).

Compensation & Benefits

  • This is a full-time exempt salaried position with an expected base annual salary range $60,000 - $70,000 (Depending on Qualifications & Experience).
  • Onsite In-Person: This position is in-office at AES headquarters (St. Paul, MN).
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
  • Profit sharing bonus based on company performance.
  • PTO accrual of up to 80 hours annually with an additional 40 hours after year 1.
