We are now seeking to recruit a Associate Technical Director to lead our Geospatial team. The role is Hybrid and can be based from any of our UK offices.

The Geospatial team is a centralised, specialist capability within Consenting and Environment, providing GIS, spatial analysis, ecological modelling, data management, visualisation and digital solutions across Natural Power. The team plays a critical role in helping project teams and clients understand complex spatial, environmental and consenting challenges through high-quality data, clear visual outputs and innovative digital services. As the demand for data-led decision making, automation, spatial intelligence and client-facing digital tools continues to grow, this role will help shape the future direction of Geospatial within Natural Power. The successful candidate will lead a talented, multi-location team, inspire technical excellence, develop new service opportunities and ensure Geospatial continues to be recognised as a trusted, commercially valuable and forward-looking capability across the business.

The Associate Technical Director, Geospatial will provide strategic, technical and people leadership for Natural Power's Geospatial team. The role is accountable for the quality, consistency and timely delivery of geospatial outputs, while also developing the team's future capability in digital services, spatial data management, automation, AI-enabled workflows, visualisation and client-facing geospatial products.

The postholder will lead and inspire a team of specialists, creating clear priorities, strong standards, effective resource planning and a positive team culture. They will work collaboratively across Consenting and Environment, Offshore, Onshore, Ecology, Planning, Engineering, IT and wider Natural Power teams to ensure geospatial capability supports project delivery, strengthens tender submissions, improves operational efficiency and creates opportunities for new services and growth.

This role will shape the next phase of Natural Power's Geospatial capability, developing the team from a high-quality delivery function into a more visible, digitally enabled and commercially valuable service across the business.

The main purpose of the role is to lead the Geospatial team, shaping the future of Geospatial as a digital service. The Associate Technical Director manages delivery and ensures the effective coordination and timely delivery of all outputs. This includes maintaining robust procedures to support these deliverables and driving innovation through the development of new approaches. The role will also require supporting and training other team members, budgeting and financial management, business development and tendering, and will involve working with other team leaders across Natural Power. The role requires visible leadership, coaching, performance, career development, team culture, accountability and psychological safety.

The Geospatial Team is based at various locations in the UK and France, and you will be working closely with colleagues from other specialist environment, planning and engineering disciplines. We are a forward thinking, collaborative, dynamic and professional team who encourage individuals to maximize their potential and enable individuals to contribute to towards the success of Natural Power. This is an opportunity to contribute to renewables projects, and work with a wide range of specialists from within Natural Power.

This is a PERMANENT, FULL-TIME role, working 37.5 hours per week**.
