Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional seeking a broad and varied role encompassing financial accounting, tax compliance, payroll coordination, bookkeeping, annual financial statements, audits, and financial reporting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external auditors, tax advisors, and payroll providers to ensure accurate and compliant financial operations within a dynamic renewable energy business.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team in Germany and support the financial management of our renewable energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities
- Prepare annual financial statements
- Coordinate and support year-end audits
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records
- Process and record invoices within the accounting system
- Manage travel expenses and credit card reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Tax Compliance
- Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Support the preparation of corporate income tax returns
- Work closely with external tax advisors
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations
Payroll Coordination
- Liaise with external payroll providers
- Coordinate payroll documentation with HR teams
- Review payroll-related documents and records
- Support salary payment administration processes
What We're Looking For
- Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, or audit
- Knowledge of VAT and corporate tax processes
- Experience preparing financial statements and year-end accounts
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience within an international business environment is advantageous
