高级项目控制员 HVDC (f/m/d)

Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Controller to join our team. In this role, you will act as a trusted finance partner to Project Managers, providing financial and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle to help drive successful project delivery and strong financial performance.

You will be responsible for ensuring robust financial control across one or more projects, supporting decision-making through insightful analysis, accurate forecasting, cost management, and risk assessment. Working closely with project teams and finance colleagues, you will play a key role in maximising project profitability while maintaining compliance with governance and control standards.

How you'll make an impact

• Partner with Project Managers to drive the financial and commercial performance of projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and maintain project budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial performance reports.
• Ensure accurate project accounting, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, invoicing, and balance sheet management.
• Develop and maintain Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Cost-to-Complete (CTC) forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Monitor project cash flow, revenue, and gross margin performance, providing recommendations to optimise financial outcomes.
• Support monthly project reviews by delivering insightful financial analysis and performance reporting.
• Manage and monitor financial aspects of variation orders, claims, back-charges, bonds, guarantees, and tax-related matters.
• Collaborate with Project Controls, Contract Management, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure effective governance, compliance, and project delivery.

Your Background

• Proven experience in Project Controlling, Project Finance, Project Accounting, Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partnering roles.
• Experience supporting Project Managers with financial planning, forecasting, cost control, and commercial decision-making.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and profitability analysis.
• Experience identifying financial risks and opportunities, with the ability to implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) are advantageous.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills, ideally gained within engineering, energy, utilities, infrastructure, construction, or other project-based environments.
• Fluent in German and in English
