Join our dynamic team at Siemens Energy, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the 'Blue Horizon' initiative within the Switchgears Americas division in Jackson. You will lead operational purchasing activities, ensuring seamless integration of supply chain operations for upcoming projects. Imagine executing daily purchasing operations, resolving discrepancies, and optimizing procurement processes to mitigate supply chain risks. Your expertise will directly contribute to the timely procurement of materials, aligning with project timelines and production demands. As you engage with suppliers and collaborate with cross-functional teams, you will drive efficiency and innovation in our operations.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead and execute daily purchasing operations, including purchase order (PO) creation, tracking, and expediting for switchgear components.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality issues in collaboration with accounts payable and quality assurance teams.
• Ensure material availability for 'Existing & Blue Horizon' volume by aligning procurement schedules with project timelines and production demands.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on supplier performance metrics such as on-time delivery (OTD) and quality to support continuous improvement.
• Negotiate operational terms, lead times, and pricing with local and international suppliers to optimize total cost of ownership.
• Optimize operational procurement workflows and master data maintenance within ERP systems (SAP) to ensure data integrity.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in operational procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the energy, grid technologies, or heavy manufacturing sector. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level and vice versa.
• Strong expertise in procurement and supply chain management, including operational procurement and supplier relationship management (SRM).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP MM) and data analysis/reporting capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
