Skeleton Technologies is looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join our team.

Our power systems protect GPU clusters from millisecond-level spikes, enable hyperscalers to run at higher rack densities without grid compromise, and make AI data centers up to more 40% energy efficient. We keep the lights on when grids fluctuate, stabilising electrical infrastructure under the combined pressure of accelerating renewable energy deployment and surging AI demand.

Responsibilities

• Own Skeleton's global external communications. This is an external-facing role focused on media, analysts, executive visibility and partner communications, as an individual contributor reporting to the VP of Marketing.
• Draft and manage press releases, customer and partner announcements, and proactive media outreach globally, with a focus on Europe and North America.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound press and analyst inquiries, coordinating timely, accurate responses in line with company messaging.
• Prepare executives (CEO, CPO and other spokespeople as needed) for interviews, briefings and press events, including message coaching and Q&A preparation.
• Work directly with the CEO on media opportunities, executive visibility and thought leadership.
• Identify, secure and manage earned and paid speaking opportunities for company leadership at industry conferences, summits and trade events.
• Build and maintain a customer communications program, including joint press releases, testimonials and co-marketing announcements with strategic partners and customers.
• Share ownership of overall strategic messaging and communications direction with the wider marketing and communications team, ensuring consistency across press, customer and partner communications.
• Maintain and grow relationships with Tier-1 journalists and industry analysts covering energy storage, data center infrastructure and industrial technology.
• Manage Skeleton's presence on X as a channel for media engagement and journalist relationships.
• Monitor media coverage, industry narrative trends and relevant EU and North American policy developments (AI data centers, grid stabilization, defense), flagging opportunities and risks proactively.
• Coordinate embargoes, approvals and sign-off processes for joint announcements with technology and commercial partners.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or media relations, including in-house experience at a fast-growing startup or scale-up.
• Background in B2B technology, ideally energy, power grids, energy storage, data center infrastructure, industrial technology or a related deep-tech sector.
• An existing network of Tier-1 journalists and industry analysts in Europe and North America, with the ability to secure meaningful press engagement from day one.
• Experience working with North American media is required, including for candidates based in Europe.
• Proven track record of Tier-1 media coverage, press releases, executive interview preparation, and proactive and reactive media outreach for a global or multi-region company.
• Experience securing and managing speaking opportunities (earned and paid) at industry conferences and events.
• Experience managing joint and partner communications, including co-branded press releases and customer testimonials.
• Strong awareness of the energy and technology landscape, as well as EU and North American politics and policy.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities change quickly, working directly with the CEO and senior leadership, with occasional availability outside standard hours.
• Persistence and confidence in driving internal approvals and pushing for timely decisions from senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating across time zones and markets in Europe and North America.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; any other languages is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) is a plus.
