Purpose & Scope

As a Procurement Intern, you'll support the procurement team with tasks like analyzing supplier quotations, assisting in tender preparation, conducting vendor credit risk assessments, and performing data analysis to drive procurement decisions. This role offers valuable experience in procurement practices within a corporate setting.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Quotation Analysis: Assist in comparing supplier quotations for pricing, terms, and value optimization.
  • Tender Preparation Support: Aid in organizing tender documents and ensuring accuracy.
  • Vendor Credit Risk Assessment: Help evaluate potential vendors' financial stability.
  • Procurement Process Support: Assist in tender opening and evaluation processes.
  • Data Analysis: Perform data analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier performance trends, and procurement insights.
  • Contract Management Assistance: Support in monitoring contract performance and maintaining documentation.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative duties and maintain procurement records.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Background in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics or equivalent
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze supplier quotes and data gathering
  • Attention to Detail: Focus on accurate document preparation and record-keeping.
  • Organizational Skills: Efficient task management.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written abilities.
  • Computer Proficiency: Knowledge of office software.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Aptitude for addressing procurement-related issues.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
