Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead our Monitoring Systems team and play a key role in shaping the future of condition monitoring and safety solutions at KK Wind Solutions.
As the Manager of Monitoring Systems will lead a highly specialized team focused on the prototyping, design, and development of cutting-edge hardware solutions for vibration monitoring and safety systems in wind turbines and industrial applications. This role is instrumental in bridging product innovation with scalable industrialization, driving the integration of condition monitoring into KK’s next-generation digital and safety architectures.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the MS-team in line with KK’s strategic growth ambitions and the Idea-to-Market (I2M) framework.
- Drive the roadmap for prototyping hardware solutions across TCM, safety systems, and emerging industrial applications.
- Ensure full lifecycle alignment across Engineering, NPI, Product Management, and Services.
Innovation & Integration
- Spearhead initiatives in vibration monitoring, sensor technologies, and safety-related designs in collaboration with Digital Services and Control Systems teams.
- Ensure the department has the appropriate skills aligned with the technology strategic roadmap for future readiness.
- Translate insights from post-merger integration (e.g., MS Engineering acquisition) into unified and scalable platforms, enabling faster go-to-market.
Change Management & Growth Enablement
- Act as a change leader in a post-merger context, harmonizing processes, tools, and team culture while maintaining high engagement and technical excellence.
- Support KK’s transformation from hardware-centric to integrated digital-service models, including SaaS and AI-based diagnostics platforms.
Technical Oversight
- Guide architecture decisions related to analog and digital signal processing, PCB design, vibration analytics, and system-level safety compliance.
- Proficient in modularizing product development.
Ensure products comply with industry standards (IEC 61400, ISO 10816, IEC 62443) and KK’s quality, sustainability, and safety commitments.
Our requirements
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in hardware R&D, ideally in wind energy, industrial monitoring, or electronics systems development.
- Proven success in leading teams through scale-up phases and post-merger integration, with a change-oriented and collaborative mindset.
- Strong foundation in electrical design, sensor systems, and vibration analysis (e.g., TCM®, accelerometers, FFT-based diagnostics).
- Experience interfacing directly with manufacturing, service, and product management functions within a matrixed, global organization.
- Skilled in navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, with the ability to align business needs and engineering solutions across functions.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- Experience in agile product development and early-phase product prototyping.
- Familiarity with digital monitoring platforms (e.g., SCADA integrations, edge computing).
