Power Storage Solutions Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a Power Storage Solutions Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Rome, Milan, Bari or Lecce within the Power Division.

Mission

This role focuses on providing support to Owners and Independent Engineering for BESS and renewable energy projects within Italy and Southeast Europe. You will be expected to travel approximately 10% of your time

Key Accountabilities

• Support in reviewing resource, technology, structural studies, electrical design, contractual documentation, environmental studies, permitting, health & safety reports, grid offers and connection agreements
• Execute feasibility studies as well as preliminary design of BESS and renewable power plants
• Some degree of project management, proactively communicating with clients, the internal team and stakeholders to deliver client requirements
• Supporting the preparation of proposals and reports
• Supporting the preparation and management of tendering, negotiation and selection of contractors and key component provider, BoP, O&M, or EPC contracts and planning condition discharging
• Conducting site visits/joining Senior Consultants on site visit inspections and supporting the production of reports

Education

Master’s Degree in Engineering General or Electrical Engineering

Qualifications & Experience

An engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, environmental, management) degree or equivalent qualification is essential
An electrical engineering background and experience of electrical design would be advantageous
Proficiency with AutoCad and PVcase
Up 2 years renewable energy experience in either solar PV or wind and BESS is essential
Experience of renewable permitting process would be advantageous
Previous experience working for an Engineering & Consultancy Firm or an EPC Contractor would be beneficial
Excellent level of written and spoken English is essential
