As the technological spin-off of Solar Impulse, the first electric airplane to fly around the world, the mission of H55 is to make aviation clean, safe, and affordable. H55 exists to accelerate this transition by building the certification-grade energy platform that electric aviation needs to scale, delivering energy storage systems that are predictable, provably safe, and trusted by authorities, insurers, and OEMs. Because in aviation, innovation only matters when it can fly.

At H55, you will work with a forward-looking team shaping the future of air transportation. Our team brings together experienced engineers, entrepreneurs, and industry experts who combine creativity, innovation, and strong technical expertise.

We believe that diverse perspectives lead to better engineering and stronger teams, and we are committed to building an inclusive workplace.

Your Role

As part of the Manufacturing team, reporting to the Head of Production Organization, you will play a key role in shaping how our electric propulsion systems are built, from early industrialization to scalable production.

You will develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes for aerospace components, working closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure robust, reliable, and certifiable operations.

Your work will directly contribute to building certification-ready manufacturing processes for energy systems that must meet the highest safety and reliability standards in aviation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for aerospace components and assemblies (e.g. surface treatment, bonding, electronics integration) across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
  • Select, specify, and commission production equipment and machines
  • Define and optimize process qualification parameters to ensure stable and repeatable production
  • Set up and validate machines, including tooling, fixtures, and control parameters
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Analyze process performance data to improve yield, efficiency, and reliability
  • Establish and maintain process documentation (work instructions, parameter sheets, process logs)
  • Monitor process stability using data analysis, statistical methods, and process control tools
  • Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to support new product introduction and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace quality, safety, and traceability standards

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in manufacturing process development (typically 5+ years) in aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industries
  • Comfortable working with industrial equipment, process parameters, and production environments
  • Experience with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods
  • Ability to interpret and use production data to drive decisions
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and traceability requirements is a strong asset
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset
  • Fluent in English (French is a plus)
  • Interest in mentoring others or growing into a team lead role is a plus

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work on cutting-edge electric aviation technology with real-world impact
  • A collaborative, international, and purpose-driven team
  • Opportunities to grow into technical or leadership roles
  • A flexible and supportive work environment
  • An exceptional work location in Sion, Valais, in the heart of the Swiss Alps

You will have a direct impact on our products and on how we design and build them, working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-evolving environment.

We are building a team where diverse perspectives are essential to solving complex engineering challenges and delivering safe, certifiable systems. If you're excited about this role but don't tick every box, we encourage you to apply
