AGL's Gas & Renewables Engineering team are seeking a Senior SCADA Engineer. The SCADA team is responsible for managing all Operational Technology (OT) control systems across AGL's entire Gas & Renewables portfolio.

You will be supporting a growing portfolio of assets, including end-to-end management of SCADA systems, from sensors and instrumentation to business application integration.

What you'll do

You will provide technical leadership and optimisation of SCADA and control systems across our gas & renewable assets, ensuring reliable operations through innovative solutions and industry-standard compliance.

• Champion strategic operating, dispatch, and maintenance approaches
• Deliver SCADA support services, ensuring system availability and seamless Dispatch Centre integration
• Conduct system health checks, daily monitoring, and change management
• Provide subject matter expertise during major projects, from construction through commissioning
• Configure and maintain SCADA systems, telemetry, HMI, control systems, and data networks
• Embed AGL's Life Saving Rules and HSE practices into all activities

What you'll bring

• Tertiary degree in Electrical, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• Proven experience as an Electrical/Control Systems Engineer in heavy industrial SCADA environments
• Expertise in managing distributed assets and implementing strategic operational initiatives
• Strong HSE regulatory knowledge
• Understanding of National Electricity Rules and regulatory frameworks
• Ability to support and guide diverse, remote operator teams
• Experience scoping and delivering large-scale projects
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Chartered Registration with Engineers Australia (current or obtainable)
• Functional Safety qualifications (desirable)
