A wide range of tasks

As our Geotechnical Engineer, you will:

• Proactively support the interface management between the GEO/MetOcean work package and other work packages, specifically with the foundation team but also with other teams: e.g. inner array cable, export cable, transport & installation, etc.
• Assess various foundation concepts by examining the geotechnical and other subsurface data for feasibility of factors like boulders, gravel and till influencing the project.
• Assess and evaluate the site investigation information (CPT data, borehole data and laboratory testing data) with regards to possible foundation type and pre-design.
• Provide hands-on support in scoping and design of the site investigation surveys (boreholes and downhole CPTs, geophysical acquisition) and laboratory programme.
• Support scoping and design of the pre-construction UXO survey, identification and clearance campaigns.
• Examine and evaluate the technical solutions offered for the preparation, negotiation and award of contracts for site investigations and UXO survey and clearance.
• Prepare/update the employer’s design basis.
• Accompany the research and development projects in the field of geotechnical aspects in the offshore wind sector.

Convincing Profile

• A master's degree or the equivalent in geotechnical engineering.
• Relevant experience, specifically in the areas of soil structure interaction and evaluation of possible foundation types, and UXO survey and clearance campaigns.
• Existing knowledge and experience in project management is desirable.
• You can familiarise yourself with new tasks at a short notice, and do take initiative and ownership.
• Fluency in Business English, German is a plus.
• And of course, you are a strong team player with good communication and persuasion skills, who enjoys working within intercultural teams.
