Your mission

As a Energy Consultant in our Consultancy team at Tractebel, you contribute to the development of large-scale energy projects, delivering innovative and efficient engineering solutions. Our team focuses on designing and optimizing energy infrastructure, ensuring reliability, sustainability, and technical excellence to support the transition to a cleaner and more resilient energy future.

Your key responsibilities

• You develop market integration models using dedicated software tools such as POWERSIM, Plexos, Antares, PSS/E, Digsilent.
• You perform cost-benefit analyses for feasibility studies in the energy field.
• You bring economic expertise to power system projects, within international power networks.
• You conduct financial assessments for energy-related projects.
• You support techno-economic studies and strategic energy planning.
• You develop and implement Masterplans, including load forecasting, generation planning, and renewable siting.
• You assess the feasibility of interconnectors between energy systems or countries.
• You size Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) from an economic perspective.
• You collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact energy projects.
• You stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and technological innovations.

We would love to hear from people with

• Technical background: University "Politehnica" Bucharest - Power Engineering Faculty, Engineering Economics or similar;
• Good knowledge of a software tool dedicated to power systems simulations;
• Knowledge of specific electricity market simulation tool such as Plexos, Antares or POWERSIM represents an advantage;
• Production cost for electricity generation per type of generations represents an advantage;
• Very good knowledge of MS Office package;
• English proficiency;
• Knowledge of French represents an advantage;
• Good communication skills - both written and oral;
• Ability to work efficiently in an international environment;
• Organizational skills;
• Problem solver, flexible;
• Willingness to make international trips for our international collaboration and international projects.
