This position will be based in Blythe, CA.
The PV Solar & Battery Technician III will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and maintenance of NextEra Energy's photovoltaic (PV) solar and battery storage systems at Arlington Solar located near Blythe, California. As a member of the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team, the technician will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of clean energy systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance activities on solar panels, battery storage systems, and associated equipment.
- Troubleshoot and undertake corrective maintenance to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring maximum system uptime and efficiency.
- Adhere to maintenance schedules and follow established procedures for inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and component replacements.
- Utilize monitoring software and tools to regularly monitor and analyze system performance, identifying deviations and inefficiencies.
- Generate performance reports and maintain accurate records of system performance, including energy production, equipment status, and maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
- Adhere to environmental regulations and procedures during maintenance activities and waste management.
- Maintain accurate documentation of O&M activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders regarding work progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Job Overview
The Site Technician will support the Regional Manager or designee to ensure the perfect execution of the PGD processes. Site Technicians in a solar region perform duties in the following but are not limited to safety, contractor management, electrical/electronic/mechanical equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, overall site operations, asset management and regulatory compliance, reliability engineering, and inventory management.

Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 1+ years
- Valid Driver's License (NON CDL)
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade School Graduate
- Licensed Electrician
- Licensed Master Electrician
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
The estimated base pay for this position is $55,200.00 to $82,800.00 per year. Starting pay will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, job-related and industry knowledge and skills and education/training.
