The individual in this role will support the preparation of economic analysis models for investment opportunities, support senior team members in investment Due Diligence processes and in the preparation of investment approvals and support in the preparation of ad-hoc strategic presentations for the EDPR APAC region.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of valuations and economic cases for investments
• Assist in the coordination and execution of the due diligence, structuring and negotiation of transaction documentation in potential M&A opportunities
• Assist in the preparation of strategic analysis projects (namely portfolio and country analysis and partnerships)
• Support the analysis of greenfield projects in terms of economic risk and strategic options and provide reports of findings
• Prepare financial models and assist senior members of the team in the assessing of commercial data and assumptions which underlie financial forecasts
• Support the preparation of EDPR business plans and impairment analyses, in coordination with the Corporate Investments and M&A Department

Requirements

• Strong education background in a reputable academic institution
• Experience in the Energy or Infrastructure sector or in M&A, corporate finance or investment analysis is not required, but it is considered a plus
• Good understanding of of valuation (FCFF and FCFE), financing, accounting, and strategic analysis
• Financial modelling and presentation preparation abilities are highly valuable
• Strong time-management skills & ability to work onsite and offsite
• Ability to demonstrate strategic vision and high attention to detail
