Bid Manager

As a Bid Manager you will be responsible for the preparation of budget offers, bid coordination and bid tracking of the PEM Electrolyzer product lines as well as associated plant components of the overall electrolysis system such as transformers, rectifiers, control system, water refinement loop, etc.

Its activity is in the context of a new industry for the production of hydrogen by means of electrolysis processes and electricity from renewable energy sources. Government support programs and major industrial investments are being undertaken internationally towards the creation of a hydrogen economy to decarbonize and transform processes.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Analysis of customer requirements and implementation in a competitive offer with the involvement of an interdisciplinary team of engineers and business people
• Supporting the engineering teams and the bidding department in examining the technical feasibility of using the PEM Electrolyzers and identifying project risks or opportunities
• Determination of the costs and the corresponding delivery time of the scope of delivery you have projected
• Continuous monitoring of the bid project status and ensuring independent, targeted and complete communication within the project team and the collaborating departments
• Participation in project negotiations together with the sales team at home and abroad and representative of your offer as a quotation project manager at the customer
• Responsibility for handing over the order to the project management, the engineering, manufacturing and packaging departments.
• Contribute to the improvement of offers in terms of methodology, organization, content, documentation and creation period.
• Establishment and maintenance of data collections on costs, cost structures and developments.

What You Bring

• Completed technical studies in the field of process engineering, a comparable degree or industrial engineering with a set technical focus
• Professional experience: This position is aimed at interested parties with 5-10 years of professional experience, as well as trainees/newcomers.
• Professional experience in quotations, sales, project planning or project management in plant construction or production
• Ideally, knowledge in the field of plant engineering, electrolysis plants
• Very good knowledge of English
• Skills in dealing with SAP, database systems, MS Office
• Willingness to travel internationally and the ability to work efficiently in a multicultural environment
• Cosmopolitan, communicative and motivated way of working, as well as assertiveness, initiative, ability to work in a team, customer and result orientation
