Strategy & Tender Lead

We are looking for a Strategy & Tender Lead based in Amsterdam or Ghent to join our Network Development team at Fastned. The Strategy & Tender Lead will build and deploy new network growth strategies, set up our expansion organisation for success in tenders and coordinate international projects across various European countries.

The Strategy & Tender Lead will also manage key internal stakeholders and oversee internal communication on strategy deployment. With this role you will get the opportunity to combine your skills in strategic analysis, business development and networking abilities with strong communication both externally and internally.

This role can be based in either Amsterdam or Ghent with regular travel across Europe.

Your Role

To build our network of 1000 stations, we will need to successfully win tenders and project calls in our existing and new markets. As the Strategy & Tender Lead, you will play a pivotal role in steering Fastned’s success in an increasingly competitive landscape. Your responsibilities encompass strategic planning of big projects, developing solutions resolving the growth challenges in our expansion team, drive stakeholder understanding across the organisation; but also manage and analyse data for tracking tenders, develop concrete bid strategies, develop processes supporting tender management, foster cross-collaboration in the organisation to set Fastned up for success.

You will manage a team of driven analysts and tender managers, and successfully coach/mentor them through a fast changing, high growth environment. You are able to push stakeholder understanding across the organisation to support our projects. You excel in summarising findings and communicate them effectively to the executive management and key stakeholders.

This role will be based in Amsterdam or Ghent, where you will become part of the Network Development team, a fun and diverse group of highly driven professionals spread across Europe. You will report directly to the Network Development Director and lead an agile team of business analysts. You will collaborate closely with other teams across Fastned, and you will get the unique chance to become part of our future-driven industry, where you can make a real impact! Electric mobility is new territory for you? Worry not! As part of your onboarding, you will participate in a series of exciting workshops where you will learn everything important about electric mobility and fast charging infrastructure. Job requirements

Who we are looking for

You bring along extensive experience in high growth environments and a deep affinity with strategy and business processes. You excel in managing complex projects and have knowledge in the field of sustainability and/or public tendering. You are a strategic thinker and you manage to motivate the people around you to deliver for success. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in leading and building teams
• Plus points for previous experience in high growth companies or renewable energy
• A strong commercial and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication skills and a high level of initiative
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage and synthesise complex (incl. technical) information from diverse sources and integrating it into a coherent, compelling narrative
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in at least two relevant languages (English, Dutch, French, German)
• Open for regular travel within Europe
• You are highly motivated by accelerating the energy transition.
