We are looking for a Power Systems Engineer to take on responsibility for our power systems design for our offshore wind projects. The work involves engagement both at feasibility/concept level and all the way through to grid compliance verification. You will join our Power systems Engineering team and you will be based in Denmark (Copenhagen or Vejle).
You will support initiatives including
- Design and development of electrical transmission systems for offshore wind power plants.
- Design of wind power plant control and protection philosophy.
- Technical assessment of grid code requirements and grid compliance verification.
- Modelling and simulating power systems for offshore wind power, including modelling of wind turbine generators, power plant controllers and dynamic reactive power compensation equipment.
- High level technical specifications of high voltage equipment for transmission systems.
To succeed in this role, you
- Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
- Have experience in power systems engineering for renewable energy generation projects, including knowledge about power systems, grid integration and system dynamics.
- Are proficient in PowerFactory, PSCAD or PSSE for modeling and simulation of transmission systems and renewable energy generators.
- Poses strong communication skills to convey ideas into real projects within the immediate and larger international team.
- Are a strong team player who enjoys collaboration.
