Ocean Sun utilizes decades of knowledge from the Norwegian energy sector and aquaculture industry, resulting in a revolutionary patented technology. Floating on water, these solar PV systems offer several key advantages, such as optimized efficiency through natural cooling, space utilization, proximity to grid and energy consumption, scalability, flexibility and environmental benefits such as reduced water evaporations. Being a recognised and leading tech provider within its niche, Ocean Sun has significant growth ambitions and aim to attain as much as a quarter of the global FPV market.
The COO will alongside the team plan, lead and follow up implementation of new projects, ensuring high quality, efficiency and robust installations. The COOs main mission is to make sure Ocean Sun has a professional, efficient and cost effective rollout model for its technology moving into this growth stage. As Ocean Sun is moving toward bigger projects in a maturing FPV industry, the importance of state of the art installation processes, best practices and scalable structures surrounding development projects is of increasing importance.
COO Responsibility
- Overall responsibility for the construction and operation of all Ocean Sun projects globally.
- Onsite project responsibility with occasional hands-on work.
- Leading Ocean Sun’s operations team
- Ownership of construction and O&M process excellence including Method Statements and other manuals.
- Responsible for the follow-up and driving in the negotiation of EPC contracts and purchase orders.
The right candidate
- Relevant Master’s degree within Technology, engineering or business
- Min 5 years of experience with project management in construction, aquaculture, oil & gas, or other relevant industry
- Previous budget responsibility and project financial control
- Experience in contract follow-up and negotiations with Customers, Suppliers and contractors.
- Relevant international exposure
