The opportunity

This is a key role where you will be providing a broad administrative and business support service to the CEO of EDF Renewables UK and Ireland, fully understanding the organisation and its priorities in order to support to the best of your ability. Being a true gate keeper, the role holder proactively oversees the CEO’s workload, taking responsibility and thinking ahead.

What you’ll be doing

A key challenge for this role is to ensure that the CEO has the bandwidth to complete independent work, by managing the interruptions, emails, meetings and the continual flow of information being sent to them.

Attention to detail is critical and a high level of writing skills required to respond to correspondence on the CEO’s behalf within EDFR UK and within the wider EDF Group.

The ability to build relationships, manage sensitive information and be resourceful in dealing with new situations and challenges will enable success in this role.

What do you need to be great at this role?

You will be well educated with extensive previous experience of providing support to a CEO or Executive team member.

Must have experience of coordinating board meetings and taking minutes and producing high quality papers. Able to work independently and take appropriate decisions in the CEO’s absence.

  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Able to be resourceful and show initiative in seeking out solutions.
  • Excellent IT skills, specifically Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • An understanding of what good governance is.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be personable at all times but show assertiveness when required.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion in a professional manner.
  • Able to plan and prioritise work appropriately.
  • Must have experience of working in an agile and fast paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Must be fluent in English and French.
