As Investment Associate, you will play a vital role in our mission to revolutionize the renewable energy industry.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the work on exposure management of loan draw down schedule, debt service and undertakings as well as financial covenants post disbursement or facility utilisation conditions
  • Close relationship with several financial institutions to coordinate the debt deployment in the portfolio
  • Responsible for the portfolio financial modelling of the debt facilities, working with the senior members of the team to create sensitivity scenarios
  • Support with documentation and compliance with conditions precedents to bring the assets of the portfolio to Financial Close
  • Orchestrate the due diligence processes (financial, technical, legal and insurance)
  • Help manage the subsequent execution process and timeline until transaction closing
  • Support the senior members of the team with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Coordinate the execution of reporting for all monitoring process, as well as supporting the subsequent analysis
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarising key findings and recommendations
  • Management of the relationship with the various stakeholders involved in the processes, such as advisors, banks, debt funds and internal stakeholders (finance, development and construction team members)
  • Build and maintain complex portfolio funding models to support decision-making processes
  • Conduct scenario analysis and forecasting to assess potential outcomes and drive strategic planning efforts
  • Review and interpret financial legal documentation (financing agreements, security agreements etc)

Your qualifications

  • Professional experience within Corporate Finance, preferably with a leading investment firm, consultancy or bank (2-5 years desired experience)
  • Degree or Masters in business, finance or investment related area
  • In-depth knowledge of best practices in financial modelling
  • Prior experience in commercial loan underwriting and portfolio monitoring, with an understanding of key terms including covenants and security would be preferable
  • Detail oriented, with a solid knowledge of financial analysis and an understanding of key risk drivers
  • Experience in contract or SPA negotiations (leading or actively participating)
  • Relevant knowledge working with Excel and large-scale data processing. Reporting tools or programming languages would be a plus (Power BI, SQL, Python, etc)
  • Pragmatic and results oriented, able to get things done on time
  • An analytical mindset with a practical approach to problem solving
  • A strong team player capable of working together effectively with the whole team
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to achieve results
  • Fluency in English, additional European language is highly desirable (Spanish preferred)
