About the Opportunity

Due to continued strong growth and the award of several new projects supporting critical infrastructure across NSW's transition to renewable energy, we are looking for a Cost Control Manager to join our NSW team.

As the Cost Control Manager, you will supervise and coordinate cost-planning staff and day-to-day operations, supporting implementation and guiding the delivery of cost-planning procedures and processes to ensure compliance and alignment with project objectives.

Key accountabilities for the position

• Implement, monitor, and execute cost-control activities.
• Prepare and present monthly Cost Reports to stakeholders.
• Coordinate cost-controlling reports to record and inform decision-making.
• Drive successful financial outcomes by maximising project margin, minimising costs and maintaining quality.
• Provide transparent, accurate, and timely reporting, including cost to date, forecasts, earned value, and manage the risk and opportunity position.
• Collaborate with budget owners to challenge budgets and forecasts and set ambitious targets to improve financial outcomes.

Required Skills and Competencies

Capability & Experience will you need to have:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Finance, Business or Commerce (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Well-developed communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
