What you’ll do

As a Settlement Expert at Eneco Energy Trade, you will work in a team of around 12 enthusiastic professionals. This team primarily deals with ensuring the correct and complete financial settlement of complex contracts in the field of Energy Trading.

Is this about you?

• You have at least 3-5 years of relevant work experience and a completed HBO/WO education
• You can work independently on the topics assigned to you and proactively coordinate with colleagues from all departments of EET, such as IT, commerce, and other operational departments.
• You enjoy continuously switching throughout the day, processing and prioritizing ad-hoc requests;
• You proactively work on good relations with stakeholders within and outside EET, and even outside Eneco;
• You serve as a sparring partner regarding the standardization and optimization of existing processes;
• You have a strong affinity with process automation and Excel;
• You contribute to the further professionalization and centralization of administrative processes and the use of automation solutions;
• Knowledge of the energy market is a plus.

You’ll be responsible for

As a Settlement Expert, you advise and analyze contract agreements with new sustainable flexible assets and translate these into complex models that ensure the financial settlement of all these activities. This often involves assets that require real-time control to balance the electricity grid when demand and supply do not match.

You are the point of contact for commercial teams when it comes to implementing new assets. With new forms of contracts and assets, you think along in solutions for non-daily problems, so we continue to lead in the energy market.

With your experience, you can quickly determine what is needed to use the data & financial settlement, preferably in a scalable way for the future. You also inform the commercial department about the choices they can present to our customers to guarantee feasible timelines.

Additionally, you do not shy away from answering customer questions about a made settlement.

You enjoy making analyses that span across other departments, so you gain a broad understanding of the value chains and come up with solutions that are broadly valuable for Eneco Energy Trade. Furthermore, you continuously contribute to making our processes more efficient through standardization and automation to optimally support Eneco's energy transition.

Gross year salary of between €50.000 and €67.000
