As a Planning Manager, AUS&SEA, you will be responsible for driving the operations planning process in the SEA & Oceania region and oversees the demand for the CSI product portfolio and plans, directs and coordinates the demand with the manufacturing planning department in China. He/she is responsible for ensuring accurate PO status / review and product demand forecasting (in alignment with the local sales teams), product transportation tracking and product fulfillment status.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages the overall product demand and translate this demand into rolling forecasts and production demand documents.
  • Act as thought leader and advisor to direct reports and senior level business managers to embed robust procurement processes and strategies to drive cost savings and sound metrics to manage Suppliers and ensure value for all goods & services purchased.
  • Develop annual planning plan for assigned Business Teams based upon business requirements, available resources, existing contract expirations and strategic market opportunities.
  • Develop & communicate plans including defined accountabilities of each team member involved in all planning projects and ensure solid execution against plan.
  • Reviews on a weekly basis the PO status and PO forecast for AUS & SEA and translates this data into product forecast and product demand information.
  • Communicates and reviews inventory levels and forecast / demand with various manufacturing entities and headquarter and defines the volume flow to each warehouse and CSI location in AUS & SEA – including product transfer activities between CSI China/ Vietnam / AUS & SEA warehouses and locations.
  • Supports the Customer Service / Inside Sales Department to review the existing PO’s and to review their sales forecast to translate this forecast into product production / demand activities.
  • Establishes weekly / monthly reports on shipped products, open PO’s, demand tendencies and regional performance and activities.
  • Attends planning meetings, forecasting meetings and sessions and ensure timely forecasting data input from the various sales teams. Helps the General Manager to review and analyze the established and prepared data in order to update the monthly and quarterly sales and demand planning and strategic update of the sales activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or related field.
  • Minimum of 7- 10 years of related work experience with Planning, or Supply Chain
  • Industry relevant and detailed operations and planning experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles and practices.
  • SAP and Sales Force experience in order to run reports, analyze data and to track and coordinate PO’s in the system.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to read the available data and to propose and initiate the respective activities.
  • Strong planning and organization skills, very detail oriented and able to establish detailed and accurate reports, strong excel skills.
  • Fluent written and oral communication in English & Mandarin. – ability to communicate and manage meetings covering various time zones and with our teams in China, SEA & AUS.
  • Relevant experience in Renewable Energy Industry is a plus.
