The Utility team at Svea Solar is responsible for utility-scale (i.e., very large!) projects and is currently on a strong growth path both in Sweden and across Europe. For instance, we've just built a solar park in Fjällskär (20.7 MW), making it one of Sweden's biggest parks.

To continue our strong growth path and make smart operational decisions, we are now looking for an Analyst to join our Svea Solar - Utility Development unit.

The role

You will be part of a diversified team of leading professionals within the solar industry. As a valued member of our Utility Development business unit, your primary focus will be on projects in Sweden, with potential opportunities in other European countries.

Your core responsibility will revolve around developing, optimizing, and streamlining financial models to ensure the competitiveness of our large-scale solar and battery projects. While collaborating with the Treasury team and other teams in the centralized Finance department, the role assumes great ownership of the processes within the Utility business unit.

The responsibilities of the role can be described with the following:

  • Create financial models to accommodate new investment and M&A prospects in solar parks and battery projects.
  • Originate, assess, and negotiate potential project acquisition opportunities to ensure alignment with our strategic objectives.
  • Structure comprehensive business cases and provide essential materials for presentations to investors/management teams.
  • Develop operational models for specific assets, keeping them up-to-date throughout the project lifecycle, and update the model for the overall portfolio once projects are operational.
  • Play a pivotal role in liaising with lenders throughout all project stages, providing critical financial insights and support during negotiations.

Are we a match?

To thrive at Svea Solar, we think it's important that our values (https://sveasolar.com/about-us/#mission) correlate with yours. To be successful in this role, you should be a proactive problem solver, taking initiative in your areas of responsibility. Besides that, we believe it is essential to have:

  • Strong analytical capability.
  • Experience in financial models, project valuation, and financial analysis, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen business sense and proficiency in English and Swedish.

We are a great match if you enjoy working with Excel and translating your findings into comprehensible and accurate information.
